to be honest,

here's a list of everything i can't stand.

1. people who get good grades and rub it in others' faces - this has happened to me a NUMBER of times. i just so happen to be friends with many 'smart' kids at my school, and they're not afraid to tell the world about their perfect grades and perfect scores on everything. they do it even if they don't try to. and even when these kids happen to get an 'average' or maybe even an above average score, they STILL complain that they could have done better, therefore making everyone else feel really stupid if they got the same score as they got.

2. fake people - okay, well i guess this one stands for itself. what defines 'fake'? well, it could be a number of things, such as someone who hides the true person inside themselves to make them feel liked. now there is really no reason to do that, unless you're possibly an alien from Planet Blorgzon, but other than that, everyone's given a life to live, and hiding it from the real world will just keep you from being your true self and having true friends. being fake can also mean that people will lie and become hypocrites to fit in with a certain group of people. again, be yourself because honestly, that's what we want to see and that's who we like.

3. peoplewhotypelikethisandthinkitscool. it's not. no one can read it, or really decipher what is trying to be said due to the lack of spaces.

4. doublee lettersss orrr multtiipllee letterrssssss.

5. 'scene names' - for example; if i were to have a scene name, it might possibly be Alison Aesthetic, Alison Anarchy, or maybe even Alison Alchemy if i wanted to take it that ridiculously far. 'scene names' are so unneeded and make you look more foolish than you are already.

6. people who get whatever they want regardless of how much money they actually possess - now i know more than enough people like this. these are the people who are always carrying around those fancy designer purses and always ordering high end products from neiman marcus or stores similar to that. but the worst part is that they're paying for all this stuff with money they don't actually have, unless you're a millionaire and can afford that. but i'm talking about regular middle class families who don't really live a luxurious life, except for all that money they're spending on material goods that aren't necessary. use that money to pay the rent and the bills. oh hell, go ahead and maybe even use that money to go buy food.

7. people hating on celebrities for no apparent reason - this happens everywhere. why hate miley cyrus when she hasn't done anything illegal or harmful to anyone? why hate the jonas brothers when all they've done is record a few albums? why hate twilight because of it's growing popularity? fame happens, and just because their rising fame may get annoying, there's really no real reason to hate on them.

happy 4th!

pretty uneventful sans parades, cookouts, or fireworks. mine went more along the lines of shopping, lunching, and degrassi-ing. and it's quite a find when you can get a dress and a necklace for the pretty low price of 25 dollars.
score!

tomorrow, i head for the infamous vans warped tour, also known as emo fest, the pop punk pilgrimage, and scene kid central. i'm expecting smoldering hot weather, screamingly hot bands, and extremely hot guys. personally, i'm not a fan of the lineup, although i am looking forward to seeing attack attack, a skylit drive, the maine, and brokencyde. i'm also expecting plenty of people to be there, lets just hope everyone's excessive body heat doesn't contribute to the global warming factor (although i wouldn't be surprised if it does). i'll definitely be stocking up on water, sunscreen, and saving my voice for the best 'scream-worthy' bands.

edu-ma-cation

second blog post today. ahaha.

so as a junior in high school, i'm supposed to be preparing myself for college and the real world, and looking at perspective universities. well, the good news is that i have been. the bad news is that i've got about 3904823049 choices and i need to pick several. but problem solved, i've already chosen about three universities that i am interested in. the good news, they're all very good schools. the bad news, they're all very far away. problem solved, like i said, i want to move out of the country, and all three of these schools just so happen to be located in canada. yes, folks, i want to move to canada. why? it's clean, and a definite change of scenery, and still somewhat close to good ol' dallas. just a few thousand miles away.

anyways, my first pick in universities is Concordia University located in Montreal, Quebec. right now, this college is the one that i am most interested in for a number of reasons. i can major in a broad selection of subjects, ranging from anthropology to linguistics to music to business. this school is apparently one of the best in canada, and it's location is superb, Montreal is a beautiful city, also the location of my second choice, McGill University. both are anglophone universities, meaning that the main language spoken is english, which is good when Quebec is a purely french speaking province. the other prospective college is the University of Toronto, also a wonderful school, located in Toronto, Ontario. still gathering information about U of T, though.

but i'm kinda tired of typing, so i guess i can just leave it off right here.
à la prochaine!

about me.

so i've had this blog for a while now, but i have really no clue on what to write and such. i guess a blog is just a place to blab and rant about your life and what's going on in it, and seeing that i am the owner of a life, i have a choice on whether to blab about it. so i will.

my name is alison, and i'm your average sixteen year old girl.
i am an aspiring model and a music junkie.
i have a lot of thoughts, sometimes too many.
i'm a very laid back and relaxed person, rarely will i burst out in hysterics or run around hyperly (is that a word?).
i am going into the 11th grade, making me a junior in high school.
i like music, lots, and i have a very broad taste.
i am pescetarian, which means that i am a vegetarian that eats seafood (gotta have some kinda meat), just nothing that walks land.
i don't really fit in with most kids my age, and i do not want to live up to their wild standards.
i'm honest, and what i say, i mean.
someday, i hope to speak fluent french and live someplace else than the united states. sorry kids, but the US just isn't for me.
my favorite colors are purple, gold, silver, and black.
my taste in fashion varies from time to time. although i may not own very many clothing articles or accessories, i do know a lot about the subject.
i'm very shy, but when you get to know me, i will become more outgoing.
like the title says, i'm a girl with ten million dreams to catch.
